We offer various ways of giving church planters training and immersion into different church planting contexts to support sufficient growth and development of the relevant church planters’ aspirations.
Residents are placed within one of the churches in The Union, where they serve as a member of staff, but with a clear church planting remit. Though this would be where they are cared for spiritually.
Training and mentoring is received from the church planting centre staff and pastors serving in churches in The Union.
This is offered by a number of staff members of the various churches within The Union, which will be funded and facilitated by The Union Church Planting Institute.
The Incubator is a 2 year program designed by City to City to give church planters relevant training with a cohort of planters who are all 1.5 years out from a plant and 1.5 years into a plant.
This course is built around 34 key competencies a church planter needs to be a successful planter which City to City has found in key cities of over 8 continents.
Making use of the diverse church plants in Pretoria, the leaders of these churches are tasked to oversee the progress of their respective residents which they host in their churches with the administrative support given by the UCPI.
There are also options for coaching if a prospective planters and church leaders, which should be organised with the UCPI.
